It is time for another Central Florida Chapter update once again….

To begin, all members please mark your calendars as Thursday, April 29, 2010 to Sunday, May 2, 2010 is the FSMA Annual Conference in Orlando at the Holiday Inn. 5750 TG Lee Blvd. Go to www.fsmaonline.org to download the agenda and registration form. 9.5 CEU’S have been applied for through AAMA. If you will be in attendance at the General Assembly do not forget to download the General Assembly Packet and bring it with you.

The AAMA National Conference will be held this year in Lake Buena Vista, FL from Friday, September 24, 2010 through Monday, September 27, 2010. If you have never been to a National Conference, I encourage you to attend as there is an opportunity for many CEU’S, networking with CMA’S from across the 50 states, and most importantly seeing how things work at the national level of our organization. Florida Technical College will again be hosting our winter seminar on Saturday, November 13, 2010. In the coming months we will be finding quality speakers and planning a fun filled day of continuing education for all. Check back here periodically for any updates concerning this seminar and any other chapter happenings.

I want to take a moment to thank Dr. Kim Kochara, medical assistant program director at Winter Park Tech, for her active participation at our last meeting. Seven students from Winter Park Tech attended and participated in the discussions at the meeting. These students are very instrumental in the future success of our chapter and in helping it to grow. I encourage all students to attend our meetings and become actively involved in the organization.
