EVERGLADES  CHAPTER 

WHO AND WHAT ARE WE??

The Everglades Chapter is the chartered chapter of the Florida Society of Medical Assistants for Lee, Collier, Glades and Hendry County. We are a part of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). The organization provides a forum for those individuals employed as medical assistants, CMA's and students to meet for both educational opportunities and networking with your fellow professional.

WHO MAY JOIN??

• Certified Medical Assistants (CMA's)

• Individuals employed as medical assistants

• Students in any of the medical assisting programs

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST??

Membership in the local chapter is free. Members are encouraged to join the American Association of Medical Assistants. Dues for the AAMA vary depending on whether you are a student or active member.

WHEN ARE THE MEETINGS??

We meet quarterly on a Saturday morning, offering at least 4 CEU's. Meetings for 2001 are scheduled for April 28, (Naples) September 22(Ft. Myers) and November 10 at the campus of International College. Additionally we co-sponsor a CMA exam review in early January and early June. Although this seminar is geared toward students, CMA's can take individual classes for up to 12 CEU's.
