ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS
TENET FLORIDA PHYSICIAN SERVICES NOW HIRING CMA (AAMA)
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications,
education and job knowledge/experience):
Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of
Medical Assistants, or
Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical
Technologist REQUIRED
Current BLS/CPR Certification REQUIRED
Two years experience in physicians practice or other clinical
setting preferred.
Computer Literate and Strong Interpersonal skills required.
Must have the ability to concentrate in an environment that may have
numerous activities and interruption.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and
employees.
Bilingual English and Spanish is highly desired in many of our
practices
CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner
designed to project a positive image of the department. Works with
supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to
promote a harmonious work environment. Ensures that all
contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel
are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate
manner. Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner.
Displays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as
appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations.
Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal
and external customers. Works with customers to identify
problem areas and recommend solutions.
Under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed
physician perform clinical procedures
Under the direct supervision and responsibility of a
licensed physician perform aseptic procedures
Take vital signs
Prepare patients for the physician’s care
Perform veni-punctures and non-intravenous injections
Observing and reporting patients’ signs or symptoms to the
physician
Administering basic first aid
Assisting with patient examination or treatments
Operating office medical equipment.
Collecting routine laboratory specimens as directed by physician
Administering medication as directed by the physician
Performing basic laboratory procedures
Performing office procedures including all general
administrative duties required by the physician
Performing dialysis procedures, including home dialysis
